Director Planning Control
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Program Development:
- Lead the planning, facilitation, and oversight of the establishment of academic programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Collaborate with academic departments to develop and review curriculum frameworks that align with institutional goals and industry standards.
Policy Development and Alignment:
- Develop, review, and align policies and procedures pertaining to academic development, strategic planning, and institutional linkages.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and promote continuous improvement in academic processes.
Quality Assurance and Accreditation:
- Monitor and maintain academic standards through periodic curriculum review and assessment.
- Serve as the internal accreditation unit and liaise with external accreditation bodies to uphold quality standards.
- Implement lecturer and student evaluation systems to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
Teaching and Learning Enhancement:
- Develop strategies to create an excellent teaching and learning environment conducive to student success.
- Implement initiatives aimed at enhancing student satisfaction and ensuring graduates meet career and personal goals.
Data Management and Information Dissemination:
- Oversee the acquisition, management, and dissemination of academic data to internal stakeholders and approved external users.
- Collaborate with the Statistics Unit/MIS Unit to gather, analyze, and report data relevant to academic planning and quality control.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Education, Educational Administration, or related field.
- 5 years + of experience in academic planning, quality assurance, or related roles within higher education institutions.
- Strong understanding of curriculum development, accreditation processes, and academic standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage data and utilize information systems for decision-making.
