Supply Chain Supervisor
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely preparation of stock reports for decision making
- Develop and streamline new supply chain processes
- Lead cross functional projects with other departments
- Build strong team to ensure work is done within deadline period
- Ensure proper compliance with Arla policies
Specific tasks
- Preparation of weekly and monthly department reports
- Must be versatile in import and export procedures
- Ensure daily department operations are being handled smoothly
- Manage the communication with Arla team
- Supervise the logistics, procurement & trade elements in the department and ensure it is effective and efficient
- Represent the department to lead and participate in new projects
- Vetting clearing agent invoices
- Reconcile of damage stocks and shortages from containers received in all warehouses
- Handle insurance claims effectively
- Assisting his HOD in day to day matters
- Drive cost savings initiatives
- Preparation of budget VS actual procurement and logistics costing report
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials for factory operations and meeting quality and safety standards
- Liase with NEPZA and Customs officials to ensure smooth operations in the factory
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure common objectives are achieved
- Updating Forecast in SAP.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degrees in Business Administration, Economics and any other relevant Social Sciences with 4 – 10 years relevant work experience.
- M.Sc / Master’s in Business or Logistics.
Functional competencies:
- Strong Knowledge on Inbound Clearing process from door to door.
- Good Knowledge on Nigerian Customs HS Code
- Strong Knowledge on Trade
Personal competencies:
- Good communication skills
- Strong multi-tasking skills
- Strong negotiation skills.
