- Provide change: Give customers the correct amount of change
- Handle returns: Process returns for customers
- Operate cash register: Use the cash register to ring up sales and total purchases
- Answer questions: Help customers with questions about products, store policies, and services
- Maintain checkout area: Keep the checkout area clean and organized
- Scan items: Use a scanner to itemize purchases
- Provide receipts: Give customers receipts for their purchases
