Shipping Clerk
Duties
The incumbent serves as the principal administrative support person for shipping section. The position provides shipping and administrative vehicle support for the International Cooperative Administrative Support Services (ICASS) to over 85 USDH, representing five US Federal Agencies and maintain accurate vehicle list for Consulate community. The position handles shipping documentation advises employees on vehicle insurance coverage, premium, procedures, deadlines and initiate claims for official and personal vehicle whenever the need arise.
Qualifications and Evaluations
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of two (2) years of shipping or clerical support experience in an office environment is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of Nigerian government regulations, guidelines and procedures that govern vehicles use is required.
- Knowledge of shipping practices and maritime procedures is required.
- Must have strong knowledge of local cargo processing, shipping, and customs policies and regulations.
Education Requirements:
Completion of secondary school is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must have a clear valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to use the Microsoft Suite of applications (Word, Excel, etc.). Must have excellent service skills.
