They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, Product Engineering and Development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and driving product strategy, development, and operational excellence at the company. This role requires a seasoned product leader with a strong background in fintech, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital payments, capable of bridging business objectives with cutting-edge technology to create market-leading financial solutions. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for end-to-end product lifecycle management, ensuring the seamless launch, continuous innovation, and scalability of our payment platform.Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Product Leadership:
- Define and execute a visionary product roadmap that aligns with RoutePay’s business objectives and customer needs.
- Drive the development and continuous improvement of fintech and AI-powered payment solutions.
- Identify emerging trends in payments, banking-as-a-service (BaaS), and AI-driven fintech innovations.
2. Innovation & AI Integration:
- Leverage AI and machine learning to enhance product features, personalization, fraud detection, and automation.
- Foster a culture of experimentation, rapid prototyping, and iterative development to test and validate new fintech innovations.
3. Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Work closely with engineering, design, data science, compliance, risk management, marketing, and sales teams to align product goals with overall business strategy.
- Act as the primary advocate for product vision across internal and external stakeholders.
4. Technical & Platform Expertise:
- Possess deep technical knowledge in APIs, microservices architecture, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and blockchain applications in fintech.
- Ensure platform scalability, security, and regulatory compliance to support future growth.
5. Project & Agile Product Management:
- Utilize Agile, Scrum, and Lean methodologies to ensure timely and efficient product delivery.
- Define OKRs (Objectives & Key Results) and KPIs to measure product performance and business impact.
6. Customer-Centric Experience & Market Fit:
- Implement data-driven decision-making using customer analytics, A/B testing, and user behavior insights.
- Optimize UI/UX for superior customer engagement and retention.
7. Risk & Compliance Management:
- Oversee regulatory compliance (CBN, PCI-DSS, GDPR, AML/KYC) and proactively mitigate operational risks.
- Implement AI-driven fraud detection and security measures to safeguard financial transactions.
8. Scalability & Continuous Improvement:
- Drive global expansion strategies and partnerships with banks, fintech startups, and technology vendors.
- Continuously refine the product-market fit based on competitive analysis and market trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- 8-10 years of progressive experience in product development roles within the Fintech industry, with a focus on payment platforms and technology solutions.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML applications in fintech, open banking, and payment security.
- Experience working with banks, regulators, and third-party payment processors.
- Proven leadership in managing complex fintech platforms, digital wallets, APIs, or embedded finance solutions.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) and experience with agile methodologies are highly desirable.
- Strategic thinker with a customer-centric approach, data-driven decision-making skills, and a passion for driving continuous product innovation, growth, and market success.
