Senior Analyst (Corporate Finance)
Job Summary
The Senior Analyst will play a pivotal role within the organization’s corporate finance business division, assisting in the execution of complex financial transactions and providing critical support to senior team members.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis and Modeling
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including company valuations, financial statement analysis, and scenario modelling
- Build, maintain, and update financial models to support decision-making in mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and other transactions.
Market Research and Due Diligence
- Perform in-depth market and industry research to identify trends and opportunities.
- Support due diligence efforts by analyzing target companies and their financials.
Client Presentations and Documentation
- Prepare professional and client-ready presentations and pitch materials
- Assist in the development of confidential information memoranda (CIMs) and other transaction-related documentation.
Deal Support
- Collaborate with senior team members on transaction execution, from origination through closing.
- Provide support in negotiating terms, deal structuring, and pricing strategies.
Mentoring and Teamwork
- Mentor and guide junior analysts, contributing to their professional development
- Foster a collaborative team environment and support team initiatives.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies in all transaction-related activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or CFA is a plus.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Investment Banking Analyst, with a strong track record of transaction experience.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Self-motivated and a strong team player
- Knowledge of industry-specific software and tools is a plus
