Summary
- An Academic Marketing Manager is a senior, strategic role responsible for leading all marketing and student recruitment activities in the College of Engineering & Technology at the London Academy Business School and University of Sunderland in Abuja, Nigeria.
- The role involves providing strategic marketing advice, developing marketing strategies, and overseeing the delivery of marketing initiatives to achieve business, recruitment, and reputational objectives.
- The post-holder will be part of the Senior Management Team for the Business School and the University’s Marketing Senior Management Team.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Lead the development and delivery of marketing and recruitment strategies for the London Academy Business School.
- Create annual marketing and communications plans with clear deliverables and KPIs.
- Collaborate with colleagues in Marketing for impactful activities across Campaigns, Outreach, PR, and Events.
- Utilize market research and data analysis for strategic planning and delivery.
- Support the strategic development of the College’s portfolios with market insights.
- Write and present reports to the Business School Senior Management Team and University Executive.
- Manage the Business School’s marketing budget and oversee the BS Marketing team.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the team and encourage innovation.
- Work with academic and support colleagues to support student recruitment and business objectives.
- Contribute to the University-wide Marketing & Communications Leadership Team.
Person Specification:
Essential Criteria:
- Degree and CIM qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a marketing manager role in a complex organization.
- Experience in creating marketing strategies and operational plans.
- Experience in digital marketing, website development, and social media activities.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate teams.
- Interpersonal skills, diplomacy, and effective communication.
- Gravitas and credibility as a strategic advisor.
- Flexibility in working hours and cross-site working.
Desirable Criteria:
- Higher Degree in Marketing or related subject.
