Reservoir Engineer
Our client, a dynamic and innovative indigenous oil and natural gas producer, committed to excellence in reservoir management are seeking qualified candidates for the role of a RESERVOIR ENGINEER
Responsibilities
- Conduct production forecasting and reserves estimation to optimize reservoir performance.
- Provide reservoir engineering support throughout drilling, completion, workover, and tubing operations.
- Design and oversee DST, MDT, well testing, sampling, and pressure surveys, ensuring quality checks and accurate data analysis using modern reservoir engineering tools.
- Perform reservoir and well production performance studies, recommending strategies for enhanced productivity.
- Coordinate Maximum Efficient Rate (MER) reports and generate realistic production forecasts for strategic planning.
- Conduct reservoir management and simulation studies, including history matching.
- Utilize skills in PETREL RE, Eclipse, OFM for static and dynamic modeling and simulation.
- Identify and apply appropriate tools to resolve reservoir engineering issues and support the development of new wells.
- Apply strong fundamental understanding of fluid mechanics and computational fluid dynamics to solve engineering challenges.
- Develop reservoir performance predictions, including decline analysis and material balance on existing assets.
- Prepare business plan forecasts and monthly production outlook reports.
- Support and review deterministic and probabilistic estimates of in-place hydrocarbon volume.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related engineering fields. An MSc is considered an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in reservoir engineering.
- Experience in gas wells is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent team player with effective communication, reporting, and presentation abilities.
- Regulatory awareness within the oil and gas industry.
