Research and Intelligence Officer
Job description
Responsible for carrying out various research as requested by management, gathering data during projects life cycle, analyze the data and publish findings to aid new research, and improve the decision-making process. Conduct field surveys for data collection purposes, and evaluate data and information from a wide variety of sources to produce or inform intelligence products as well as preparing and delivering research summaries.
Job Responsibilities
- Analyze complex public data on contextual issues to identify patterns and insights for use
- Analyze business processes and requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and strategies
- Collating information and interpreting data
- Negotiate contracts for research projects
- Managing budget
- Analyze past results and perform variance analysis
- Identify trends and make recommendations for improvements in business operations
- Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization
- Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports
- Use Excel functions to organize and analyze data
- Create charts, graphs, and presentations for leadership teams
Qualifications
- Degree in relevant field
- A minimum of 3-5 years proven work experience in a similar role
- Proven record of research projects conducted.
- Proven record of published thought leadership articles.
- Ability to contribute both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent listening, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skill.
- Very quantitative, analytical, logical, and good at managing numbers and data
- Excellent commercial awareness
- Methodical approach to work
- knowledge of data analysis tools and proficiency in statistical applications.
