Quality Control Officer
Job Description
QC Management:
- To continuously review quality control processes, procedures, and capabilities in order to sustain the most cost-effective and efficient methods for meeting quality requirements and making recommendations for improvement as appropriate.
- Review client QC requirements and ensure that quality control documentation for a project meets contractual requirements.
Resource Management:
- To coordinate and control the day-to-day operations of inspection personnel, so as to provide a safe, secure, and efficient working environment, ensuring:
- All plant and equipment is safely operated.
- All physical resources are maintained, stored, and organized to allow efficient and effective operation.

To manage and direct a team of skilled, semi-skilled, and technically based individuals through personnel practices such as:
- Performance management.
- Relevant and effective inductions.
- Identification of training needs.
- Coaching
- Discipline.
Operations Management:
- Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications conducting a visual and measurement test , and rejecting and returing unacceptable materials
- Approve in- process production production by confirming requires specifications, conducting visual and measurement teests, and communicating the required adjustments to the production supervisor
- Approve all finish products by confirming specification
- Return products for re-work if needed and complete documnetation to confirm re-work
Process improvement:
- Improve process capacity and production volume while maintain and improving quality standards
- Lead in the development of processes to support and increase the production Objectives
- Work with other relevant department to coordinate materials and manpower planning for production
- Periodical training of co-workers
Organisational Relationships:
- Directly Reports to: Operations Manager
- Directly Supervises: Machinist and the Carpenter Team
Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
- Good Bachelor’s Degrees in Architecture, Engineering, Industrial Technology or relevant disciplines
- Possession of a higher degree(s), such as M.Sc, MBA, is desirable
- Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience in senior managerial capacity in a similar role, preferably in a Furniture manufacturing environment
- Strong strategic orientation, interpersonal
- Strong operational orientation.

- Strong track record working with both people and processes
- Accountable for optimizing the production process, developing and following-through manufacturing and productivity improvement plans
