Project Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of the “Mechanic on the Go” workshop. The ideal candidate will have a background in project management, event planning, and a passion for automotive technology and education. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning and Coordination:
- Develop a comprehensive project plan for the workshop, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Set clear objectives and goals for the workshop.
- Coordinate with content experts, trainers, and other stakeholders to ensure the workshop content is relevant and high-quality.
- Manage the workshop budget, ensuring all expenses are tracked and within allocated funds.
Logistics Management:
- Identify and secure the workshop venue, ensuring it meets all technical and logistical requirements.
- Oversee the setup and teardown of the workshop, ensuring all equipment and materials are in place.
- Coordinate transportation, accommodation, and catering for participants and staff as needed.
Participant Management:
- Handle participant registrations, confirmations, and communications.
- Prepare and distribute workshop materials, including handouts, schedules, and name tags.
- Ensure a positive participant experience by addressing any questions or concerns promptly.
Marketing and Outreach:
- Develop and implement a marketing plan to promote the workshop through various channels (social media, email campaigns, community outreach, etc.).
- Create and distribute promotional materials, including flyers, posters, and digital content.
- Engage with potential participants and media to generate interest and awareness.
On-site Coordination:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Manage on-site staff and volunteers, assigning tasks and ensuring they understand their responsibilities.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the workshop and ensure timely resolution.
Evaluation and Reporting:
- Design and distribute feedback forms or surveys to participants.
- Collect and analyze feedback to assess the success of the workshop.
- Prepare and present a final report, including recommendations for future workshops.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, event planning, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project management, event planning, or workshop coordination.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using project management software and tools.
- Knowledge of automotive technology and repair (preferred).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, if necessary.
