Product Manager
Job Description:
- As a product manager at West Midlands Open University [WMOU], you will identify students’ needs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions to these needs.
- You will drive the implementation of the product vision and strategy of the university from conceptualisation to launch.
- Through innovative solutions, you will ensure that our products are user-centric and scalable.
Responsibilities
- Product Development: Implement the product strategy, vision, roadmap and execution for all WMOU product solutions
- Strategy Execution: Collaborate closely with academic, engineering, and administrative teams to define product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring seamless integration with academic programs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with faculty, students, and other stakeholders to understand their needs, gather feedback, and translate insights into actionable product improvements.
- Project Management: Oversee end-to-end project delivery, coordinating efforts across multiple teams, and ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify educational trends, competitive landscape, and potential opportunities for new educational products or improvements to existing ones.
- Product Performance: Monitor product performance, analyze metrics, and derive actionable insights to enhance user experience and drive product adoption and engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Technology, or a related field.
- Three years of experience in product management. Experience within the educational technology domain is an advantage.
- Proven track record in successfully leading and delivering complex projects or products
- Strong understanding of educational technology, learning management systems, and digital tools is an advantage
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional and diverse environment
- Passion for education and a commitment to enhancing the learning experience
