Procurement Manager
Role Description
- This is a full-time on-site role for a Procurement Manager at our location in Ikeja.
- As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for actively meeting the organization’s business goals related to procurement, vendor management, pricing analysis and sourcing strategies.
- You will be expected to develop and manage processes and policies that guide procurement and vendor management.
Primary Responsibilities of the Candidate include:
- Source, onboard and manage vendors to achieve business measures: – Identifying intermediary vendors and eliminating 80% of intermediary vendors.
- Responsible for developing and tracking standard operating procedures in procurement activities.
- Develop clear-cut KPIs for the team.
- Carry out competitive sourcing strategies to reduce procurement cycle time, and establish transparency and traceability.
- Implement competitive pricing analysis for decision-making.
- Constantly tracking and ranking all suppliers on pricing, quality, and response time to help guide the pricing team.
- Access the quality-of-service performance of the vendors per the company’s policies and profitability goals.
- Build and manage vendor management database and SLA adherence tracker.
- Agree Negotiating with vendors to secure advantageous terms.
- Develop and implement proper procurement policies, controls, SOPs, and Processes for the department.
- Manage and ensure strict adherence to the procurement guidelines.
- Responsible for tracking and ensuring that RPM wins at least 20% of quoted inquiries.
- Ensure that the company’s vendor database is always kept secure.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Stay updated on the latest industry techniques and methods.
- Manage, coach, train, and mentor team members on improved and new procedures and skills
- Develop customer satisfaction goals and coordinate with the team to meet daily goals.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders for effectiveness.
- Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in administration or any related field.
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in technical engineering sourcing
- A thorough understanding of sourcing methodologies.
- Proven work experience as a team lead or manager
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Deep understanding of procurement (Sourcing)
- Sound time-management and organizational skills.
- Good understanding of margins when pricing
- Must have very good analytical skills (spreadsheet ninja)
- Must have very good people management and issue resolution skills
- Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
