Network and Storage Administrator

Job Responsibilities:

  • Configuration and deployment of the company network devices (Firewall and switches).
  • Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks.
  • Coordinate access and use of computer networks.
  • Maintains, troubleshoots, and administers the use of local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), computer workstations, connections to the internet, and peripheral equipment.
  • Updating the Network Diagram of the organization from time to time.
  • Publishing of the company’s public-facing Application on the Internet for remote users and client access.
  • Proactively manage and maintain the server’s installation and commissioning.
  • Monitor Server resource utilization, audit server security, and check and update server OS with the latest security updates.
  • Ensure Daily, weekly monthly & yearly backup (Fill & Incremental) on VEEAM application.
  • Troubleshooting in case of breakdowns, escalation to service partners, and ensuring minimum downtime.
  • Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure-related emergencies as well as occasional weekend maintenance.
  • Monitoring, configuration management, and reporting functions for servers to make a hands-off environment.
  • Group Policy design and configuration, AD User creation, access right management, OU/GPOs & network drives management.
  • Support VM Workstation and Microsoft Hyper-V, including virtual machine creation and management.
  • Monitor and maintain the availability, performance, and capacity of NetApp Storage systems and troubleshoot and resolve storage system issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure storage systems are secure and comply with company policies and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure storage systems meet business requirements.
  • Work with software and hardware vendors to troubleshoot and solve backup issues.
  • Check the storage critical events and coordinate with Netapp in case of any hardware or ONTAP-related issues.
  • Define and document best practices and support procedures.
  • Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation.
  • Carry out special tasks at Management’s direction.
  • Interact with other department and staff at technical level, as and when required.
  • Partake in project work from inception to closure and assist in the management of IT Assets.
  • Assist in the design of new infrastructure to support changing business needs.
  • Delivering outstanding customer service by responding to and efficiently resolving client issues and request
  • Maintain effective relationships with vendors, consultants, and service providers.
  • Processing of vendor’s payment as at when due.
  • Renewal of expired license on time.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Should possess a minimum educational qualification of a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, ICT, computer engineering or related fields.
  • Minimum of three to five (3-5) years Network and Storage Admin experience from a reputable institution.
  • Hands on skills in managing complex relationship in a matrixed environment.
  • Good organisational and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Strong Stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong oral and verbal communication skills.
