Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Job Overview
- The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at the BOAT Foundation by LifeBank, will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective monitoring and evaluation of the Foundation’s programs and projects.
- You will be responsible for designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation frameworks, collecting and analyzing data, and providing meaningful insights to inform decision-making and improve program/project outcomes.
Roles and Responsibilities
Objective:
- Develop and enhance the Foundation’s Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Framework to improve Program/project impact and effectiveness
Key Responsibilities
- Improve program/project impact assessment, and ultimately further the Foundation’s mission and goals.
- Increase the completion rate of program monitoring reports as required.
- Implement, data collection tool for program/project evaluation in at least two projects by the end of the month.
- Conduct a comprehensive review of the M&E frameworks of all programs/projects and identify areas for improvement.
- Capacity building on M&E best practices and data collection techniques on a monthly/quarterly/yearly basis.
- Increase stakeholder satisfaction with M&E reporting in alignment with various milestones.
- Develop a dashboard for real-time monitoring of program performance and impact by the end of the quarter/year.
- By achieving these Key Results, the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will contribute significantly to enhancing the Foundation’s M&E capabilities
Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant field such as International Development, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Experience:
- 4 – 6+ years work experience.
- Proven experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in a nonprofit organization or international development context.
- Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation best practices, methodologies, and frameworks
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data effectively.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, SPSS, or other statistical analysis software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and prioritize activities effectively.
