Medical Lab Scientist (Clinical Chemistry)

Job Details

To carry out routine investigations on patient’s specimens on all areas of the laboratory.
To report all routine tests conducted on the EMR/EHR platform on the computer.
Ensure Laboratory quality management systems are adhered to at all times.
To ensure adequate supplies and inventory of reagents, RTKs and consumables are available in the laboratory for use and in the laboratory store by maintaining the company’s inventory records.
Conduct other routine laboratory analyses on the collected specimens like blood, urine, stool, CSF, semen, swab and other human specimens.
Sterilization of laboratory materials.
Full laboratory practice based on microbiological and parasitological analysis, hematology, clinical chemistry analysis using equipment like Mindray hematology analyzer (5 part), Quintus or Sysmex; Chemical Pathology analyzer like Cobas C311, Cobas E411, Microbiology BD Phoenix M50 (Microbial identification & Sensitivity), serological and other screening tests.
To also ensure the smooth running and functioning of laboratory machines.
Conduct Quality Assurance (QA). To make sure results obtained from the laboratory are precise and reliable by conducting quarterly Quality Assurance.
To prepare monthly statistics of all tests conducted in the laboratory department.
To be prepared to work flexibly outside normal office hours.

Updates and maintains knowledge base by attending workshops, seminars, conferences and participating in professional courses
