Job Summary
- The Maintenance Fitter will play a vital role in ensuring the functionality and safety of our facilities.
- Your primary responsibilities will include performing maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, adhering to housekeeping standards, and Good GMP guidelines.
Key Result Areas (KRA)
The key result areas of this role are:
- Minimize unplanned downtime by implementing efficient maintenance schedules and rapid response.
- Timely and accurate installation and servicing of industrial equipment.
- Efficient troubleshooting and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Proper alignment and functioning of pumps, motors, gearboxes, and other machinery.
- Quality standards to ensure finished products meet specifications need.
Responsibilities
- Install and service pumps, ensuring their optimal functionality.
- Align pumps and motors accurately for efficient operation.
- Mount and service gearboxes, ensuring smooth transmission of power and backwashing of heat exchanger plates.
- Service and change valves to maintain proper flow and control.
- Perform maintenance on separators, PLF vibrators, PLF rubber lining and related equipment.
- •ervice lecithin, hydration, coolers, expanders, conveyors, pumps and related machinery.
- Maintain and service gearboxes of hydration tanks.
- Service Tupumar heat exchanger gaskets for effective heat transfer.
- Manage and maintain steam trace lines for temperature control.
- Grind and service flaker rolls to maintain smooth operation.
- Perform maintenance on hydraulic units, membrane filters, and pressure leaf filters.
- Service vibrators and jacks for various applications.
- Ensure proper maintenance and safety of all tools and equipment used.
- Adhere to strict health, safety, and environmental practices and PPEs.
- Uphold good hygiene and housekeeping practices in the workplace.
- Complete any other assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
The Person
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Additional certifications in maintenance management or a relevant technical discipline are highly desirable
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior maintenance role, preferably in a manufacturing or GMP-regulated environment.
- Advanced technical and mechanical expertise, with the ability to diagnose and repair complex equipment issues.
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and mentor team members, delegate tasks effectively, and resolve conflicts.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills to identify issues, develop innovative solutions, and implement process improvements.
- Deep commitment to safety protocols, regulations, and best practices, with a focus on creating a safe working environment.
