Logistics / Welfare Lead
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive logistics plans that support the successful execution of the initiative, ensuring timely delivery of resources, equipment, and materials.
- Manage and optimize the supply chain, including procurement, storage, and distribution of materials and resources, to minimize costs and ensure efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of all project-related assets, monitor inventory levels, and proactively address any shortages or excesses.
- Oversee the transportation of goods, materials, and personnel, coordinating the scheduling, routing, and tracking of shipments.
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers, negotiating contracts and agreements to secure the best terms.
- Manage the logistics budget, ensuring all expenditures are within budget limits and providing cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards related to logistics, health and safety, and environmental practices.
- Identify potential logisticschallenges and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.
- Collaborate with project teams to align logistics with project timelines and objectives, ensuring that resources are available when needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or any other related field.
- Proven experience in logistics management, especially in large-scale projects or initiatives.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in logistics software and tools.
- Understanding of gender and disability inclusion principles is an advantage.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
