Job Summary
- The Loading Master is responsible for inspecting to ensure all deck safety equipment are functional prior to tanker mooring operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Inspect to ensure all deck safety equipment are functional prior to tanker mooring operations.
- Interfaces with the various external operational stakeholders (Ship agent, vessel crew, Port control, cargo Surveyors, Immigration, Customs, Tank farm managers/supervisors, etc.) to ensure smooth operation.
- Ensures that line-up of the pipelines (onshore/offshore) are complete and adequate before the commencement of discharge/loading.
- Completes ISGOTT SSSCL with Ship Master/ Chief officer prior to commencement of all cargo operations
- Compile master sheet for all product quantity and other details after each operation.
- Ensures all relevant cargo transfer documentations are received and filed after each operation.
- Perform ullaging and calculations
- Supervise all bunker supply to company vessels and provide report.
- Attend pre-berthing meetings.
- Monitor vessel movement and provide update for tanker arrival at the terminal.
Required Knowledge
- must be conversant with calculation
- should have understanding of Chart reading
- Should have knowledge in MS office especially Excel and Word
Quality/Skill Required
- Should be comfortable at height
- Should be comfortable working at sea
- Must be a strong team player.
