The Regional Portfolio Manager, EM for Building Care / Floor Care / Floor Care Machines is responsible for driving sales growth and profitability of their allocated product portfolios in the Emerging Markets (The region covering four different clusters; Middle East & Africa, India, South East Asia and Australia). This includes product life cycle management and activation of all innovations into the regional marketplace alongside the development and implementation of various marketing programs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the adaptation and activation of the value proposition for key customer segments across geographies with existing and new customers (including global strategic accounts), through a matrixed team of regional and local marketers
- Define, implement and deliver with excellence a clear portfolio strategy. Coordinate regional product portfolio management and optimization – analysis and P&L driven approach
- Continuous portfolio optimization; operated via regional portfolio manager with execution teams; planning, development and governance with R&D, Regulatory, Procurement and Supply Chain – to be operationally executed in countries
- Manage innovation cycle – coordinate insights generation and processing, translation into product needs, execution of local/regional/global innovation programs with right market adaptation
- Support the Global Strategy Office in the development of the global long term company strategy (where to play and how to win) and ensure that key strategic initiatives are executed in the region and aligned across verticals and amongst the regional team
- Be a facilitator, collaborator and guide on priorities for other functions, on product/portfolio related matters, working in close partnership with peer function leaders to connect the supporting functions behind overall growth priorities
- Analyze portfolio performance along key metrics, draw implications and develop recommendations based on key market trends. Ensure a high standard of execution and delivery across all projects getting buy-in from stakeholders in terms of key date and deliverables
- Structured approach to workload prioritization and planning, driving and facilitating the right mix of maintenance, value adding and experimental focus across her/his portfolio
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in engineering, business or a related field
- A minimum of 7-10 years Marketing experience with strong quantitative and qualitative results
- B2B experience, ideally combination of B2B and B2C. Experience from multinationals company is a plus
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English
- Experience with managing large product portfolio complexity
- The ability to work remotely with different people from different cultures and coordinate them for common goals
- The ability to think outside the box and define solutions that work
- An analytical and data-driven approach, and the ability to generate insights from this
- The strengths to turn a strategic vision into tangible actions
- Experience in managing both projects and innovation launches
- Strong analytical, organizational and project management skills

Job Description
- Develop a strategic vision, key priorities and initiatives aligned with the Regional Supply Chain strategy.
- Responsible for end to end supply chain planning including demand planning, supply planning of imported finished goods, contract manufactured goods, to logistics including inbound, warehouse and distribution;
- Manage, develop and train people to meet competency requirements for the assigned work, with focus on process thinking, therefore creating a high performing and engaged supply chain team that supports achievement of business goals.
- Building, planning and ensuring sufficient supply chain bench strength for succession planning in the organization
- Design and implementation of a fully functional supply chain management infrastructure for West Africa to enable standard processes and performance with efficiency.
- Ensure planning consistency between functions and Planning & Forecasting process performance. Drive S&OP process (rolling 12 – 18 months) and continuous improvement.
- Optimize the Supply Chain network (planning, distribution, warehouse, etc.) to meet the service level targets for customers, at optimal cost and working capital
- Manage contract manufacturing and logistics vendors. Work cross-functionally with strategic procurement team to evaluate performance of vendors to ensure they are meeting company needs
- Lead Inventory Excess & Obsolete review discussions with commercial leaders, and drive the action plans
- Prepare annual operating plan capital and expense budget & rolling forecast updates monthly.
- Identify cost reduction and savings opportunities, and areas for improvement to achieve financial goals and drive performance and business results, making recommendations where appropriate
- Create an environment in which associates can work safely and are focused on continued improvement, by identifying action areas for employee engagement improvement
- Facilitate monthly Supply Chain performance review with systematic review of root causes & analysis together with a detailed action plan. Ensure key Supply Chain KPIs are measured and met – , Supplier On Time in Full, inventory value & DOH, Inventory accuracy, Aged & Obsolete Inventory, sales forecast accuracy & bias, Service Level Measures, Warehouse & Distribution efficiency as % of NTS, total supply chain functional costs, Supply Chain Savings.
- Manage the supply chain process of new product introduction and end of life processes.
- Participate in M&A project evaluation and lead integration of supply chain specific processes and functions, as may be required by management.
