Land Surveyor
Job Summary
- Perform field surveys using advanced surveying equipment such as GPS, total stations, and laser scanners to accurately measure and map land, structures, or physical features.
- Identify and verify property boundaries, and precisely mark property lines, corners, and easements to ensure proper demarcation and adherence to legal requirements.
- Collect and analyze survey data related to elevations, distances, angles, and other measurements and use such data to create comprehensive survey reports, maps, and drawings.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and construction professionals to provide survey data and support for project planning, design, and construction activities.
- Adhere to surveying standards, regulations, and safety protocols during field surveys and other surveying tasks. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of survey data, ensuring that data is securely stored and easily accessible for future reference.
- Instruct and train subordinates on proper land surveying processes, techniques, and products.
- Perform other responsibilities as directed by the Line Manager
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying or a similar role in real estate
- Proficient knowledge and experience with surveying equipment, including GPS, total stations, and laser scanners.
- Good numeracy skills and the ability to make mathematical calculations.
- Good professional appearance and attitude.
- Diplomatic, tactful, discreet, flexible, resourceful and dependable
- Excellent leadership and project management skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Outstanding organizational skills
