Job Description
This job role is to ensure expedited and optimal performance of technical activities in the Region.
Job Requirements
- A first degree in Electrical Engineering; and a postgraduate qualification in power systems engineering or management fields are required.
- Possession of certifications in Engineering is required; Membership in a professional body is required e.g. NSE.
- At least 15+ years’ experience planning, coordinating, and supervising technical operations within a utility or similar company.
Technical competencies
- Deep understanding of principles and practices of power distribution operations
- Good knowledge of methods, materials, practices, and equipment generally used in the operation, construction, maintenance, and repair of electricity distribution systems.
- Deep understanding of principles of electrical instrumentation and mechanical installation, functions, and maintenance
- Deep understanding of principles and practices of safety management.
- Good knowledge of technical standards/regulations and statutory requirements guiding electricity distribution systems.

Job Responsibility
- Coordinate the functioning of the technical team at the Region to ensure a high degree of performance by technical engineers.
- Implements various maintenance-related programs including routine, proactive, preventive, and predictive maintenance across Business Hubs.
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders to coordinate routine and specialized operations.
- Ensures that technical operations are executed in compliance with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
- Monitors contractors to ensure that work or services delivered conform with IBEDC specifications.
- Ensure technical assets and equipment are functioning optimally (transformers, cables, etc.)
- Make necessary arrangements to manage the impact of network/station shutdown.
- Ensures inspection, tests, and commissioning of new equipment at the site in conjunction with relevant stakeholders.
- Prepares periodic and ad-hoc reports to relevant stakeholders.
- Perform any other duty as requested by the CTO/RH.

Job Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, Statistics or equivalent
- Relevant professional certification or qualification would be an added advantage.
- At least 10+ years in a similar role or related field.

- Collaborate, investigate, analyze, and interpret business information needs based on organizational business processes, drivers, and priorities.
- Implement agreed outcomes over all activities to ensure outcomes achieved meet organizational objectives.
- Provides high-level conceptual and technical expertise and understanding of data warehousing and business intelligence best practices.
- Identify and fix data quality issues and other relevant Business information.
- Assist in the development of the adherence to database and development standards.
