Job Responsibilities
Project Planning:

  • Proactively manage and address issues that may impact project success.

Communication:

  • Facilitate communication between project stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates to project teams and management.
  • Address concerns and conflicts in a timely manner.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage project budgets.

Documentation:

Requrements

  • Have a minimum of 5 years experience and be COREN certified.
  • Have storng technical knowledge and proficiency in relevant engineering software.
  • Have proven experience in projecte ngineering or management.
  • Have excellent leadership and communication skills.

Cost Estimation:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects based on architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and other relevant information.
  • Analyze and evaluate costs related to materials, labor, and equipment.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that costs are controlled and kept within the approved budget.
  • Monitor and report on budget variances.

Tendering Process:

Dispute Resolution:

Qualifications
Educational Background:

  • Typically requires a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

Professional Certification:

  • Many Quantity Surveyors pursue professional accreditation from relevant bodies, such as the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or other local equivalents.

Experience:

  • Relevant work experience in quantity surveying or a related field.

Analytical Skills:

  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills to perform accurate cost estimations and analyses.

Communication Skills:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with various stakeholders.

Attention to Detail:

  • Precise attention to detail in quantity takeoffs, cost calculations, and contract administration.
