- We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis, and testing of mechanical systems and components.
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions, ensuring that all designs meet safety, functionality, and cost-effectiveness requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and products, ensuring functionality, durability, and compliance with relevant industry standards.
- Overseeing the design stage, the fabrication/manufacturing process, and the installation, for quality delivery.
- Solid conceptualization and understanding of fabrication and manufacturing of steel products like Tanks, Silos, structural steel platforms, steel staircases, canopy, Trusses roofing, agro processing machines, Prefabricated building, warehouses, Tank farm, and plants.
- Engineering Analysis: Perform simulations and analysis (such as stress, thermal, fluid dynamics, etc.) to validate designs and identify potential issues.
- Prototyping & Testing: Create prototypes, conduct testing, and evaluate performance to ensure mechanical systems meet project specifications and safety standards.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for designs. Ensure clear communication of design specifications to the team and stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product designers, electrical engineers, and other teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems into products.
- Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Address mechanical failures or issues in existing systems, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Site supervising for the installation process, a foundation set out, level collection and transferring, on-site measurement, and translating architectural/plan drawing or blueprints to 3D modeling.
- Steel Structural Modelling, Steel Detailing, and Drafting.
- Sheet Metal works (hydraulic press shear cuttings Machine (Delem), Bending , Drilling , Rolling, spot welding, Punching, Forming, Jigs and fixtures, and QC Gauges)
- Raw Materials Inventory Management (beams, profile steels, Irons, sheet metals)
- Quality Assurance: Ensure mechanical designs meet quality control standards and are aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in mechanical engineering. Proactively identify and implement process improvements.
- Daily report writing, waybill, and site parking list.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience (X years) in mechanical design and engineering, preferably in [industry-specific field].
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).
- Strong knowledge of materials, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mechanical system design.
- Familiarity with engineering analysis tools (FEA, CFD, etc.).

Employment Type: Full-timeResponsibilities
- Develop design of integrated electrical systems (Electrical design basis, Transformers, short circuit current, load sharing, load shedding, single line diagrams, cable sizing…)
- Carries out preliminary, basic and detailed facilities engineering studies / design in-house.
- Ensures that the facilities Engineering Contractors submit all deliverables on time and checks/reviews them regularly to achieve Company quality expectations.
- Prepares single line diagrams, electrical design calculations such as cable sizing calculations, lighting calculations etc., specifications for electrical materials,
- Prepares layout drawings such as cable routings, lighting layouts, earthing layout etc.
- Prepares requisitions for Electrical materials procurement and technical bids evaluation.
- Reads and interprets engineering drawings, specs and make necessary modifications or recommendations.
- Interfaces with Procurement Dept., Project & Installationdepartment (Electrical) for engineering related issues.
- Draw up and cross-check relevant procedures, international standards and TECO Limited General Specifications.
- Prepares CFT for Electrical engineering activities and relevant technical evaluation.
- Follows-up Purchase Orders to ensure timely approval, conformity of design & participates in reviews and FAT of electrical equipment such as switchboards, distribution panels, transformers, electric motors etc. with Vendors
- Checks, comments diligently and approves Electrical engineering deliverables received from Contractors or Third Parties and makes sure that comments are incorporated in revised documentation.
- Checks that the design is developed in line with the Pre-Project studies and the Statement of Requirements.
- Coordinates with clients for integration of new electrical systems into the existing facilities.
- Provides electrical engineering discipline support on Engineeringactivities.
- Reviews the deliverables of Electrical engineers and Designers in the team for technical quality before final review by the Head of department.
- Provides support to the Head of departmentin managing the team, whenever there is a spike in the workload, by attending meetings, preparing reports, and undertaking other administrative duties on his behalf.
- Acts as DOA and takes responsibility for the activities of the team whenever the Head of departmentis unavailable

Candidate Profile
- Minimum Qualification: B.Sc. / B.Eng.(Electrical Engineering) with 5-10 years’ experience in an Engineering Organization (oil and gas related) in a similar design position. NSE/COREN Membership will be an advantage
- Use of Power tools, MS word, MS excel is required. Working knowledge of IEC Standards and most common international standards. Knowledge of ETAP, Autocad and PDMS is an advantage.
