Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Handles guest’s bills and invoices in a good quality service manner.
  • Maintains the cleanliness and service supply at the service station to ensure prompt and effective operation.
  • To be familiar with all food and beverage items on the outlet menu.
  • To prepare the outlet for operation, including mise-en-place, setting and resetting tables, light cleaning and other assigned tasks.
  • To take food and beverage orders from guests, upselling wherever possible.
  • To utilize the outlet point-of-sales system as prescribed
  • To ensure that all sales are properly recorded, following prescribed procedures for ordering, voiding or correcting items.
  • To serve food and beverages according to the standards established.
  • To clear tables and remove dirty dishes to the dish area.
  • To complete opening and closing duties as assigned.
  • To be flexible wherever possible in meeting special requests from guests for specific food and beverage preparation methods and ingredients.
  • To follow presentation guidelines as established by the Food & Beverage Manager.
  • To maintain the assigned station / section in a clean and orderly manner at all times.
  • To ensure that all company minimum brand standards are implemented, and that optional brand standards are implemented where appropriate
  • Serves food and beverages to guests according to prescribed service standards and procedures of room service with emphasis on speed and accuracy.
  • Reports to the Restaurant Supervisorat the start of shift to receive necessary instructions for the shift, side duties assigned, floor assignment, menu changes, guest comments and complaints.
  • Accomplishes and forwards captain order slip to the kitchen for orders of food and for drinks to the supervisor or efficiently and correctly.
  • Familiarizes with all food and beverage items in the menu, items on promotions and daily special menu, its ingredients, method of preparation, portion size and presentation to be able to deliver ideal service maximizing guest satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience

  • At least an OND Degree in Hospitality or other related studies
  • 2 – 5 years relevant work experience.

Job Description

  • Design and improve maintenance strategies, policies and methods.
  • Fit new parts and make sure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Procurement of fittings or and any specialized components or fixtures needed to make repair.
  • Managing the maintenance cost by ensuring all vendor related invoice are vetted and recorded and carrying out inspection on vendor jobs and ensure quality and accountability of contract terms.
  • Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts or equipment.
  • Read work orders to determine the type of maintenance required i.e preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance.
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance on facility (lighting, ACs, water system and distribution box), factory (finishing tables, sealing machines e.t.c), utility (boilers, generators, e.t.c) equipment.
  • Implement best safety at all times in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Oversee and direct preventive maintenance activities among the maintenance team.
  • Check daily and maintain the condition of all production equipment and machines.
  • Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
  • Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
  • Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
  • Supervise the implementation of preventative/annual equipment maintenance programs, reducing equipment downtime and spoilage significantly.
  • Conduct daily, weekly and monthly preventive maintenance plans.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Provide technical advice and solutions for equipment issues.
  • Coach and provide guidance to maintenance team on maintenance activities.
  • Drive route cause analyses over machine or process safety failures.
  • Take up IMS responsibilities such as reporting unsafe act, condition or procedure in the work place, participating in fire or emergency drill at work, participating in incident reporting and investigation when necessary and adherence to Company policies.
