Description 

  • The Senior Medical Officer will play a key leadership role in the management of clinical services and drive changes and improvements in line with international best practices, guidelines, and donor requirements. The incumbent will support the program in the coordination of clinical day-to-day service

Job Description

  • Evaluate patients and provide appropriate medical treatment for various illnesses and injuries.
  • Maintaining patient rights and confidentiality when dealing with patients.
  • Monitoring and providing appropriate clinical care (medical and surgical) to patients in hospital wards and in outpatient clinic
  • Admitting patients requiring special care followed by investigations and treatment
  • Examining and talking to patients to diagnose their medical conditions
  • Keeping the referring doctor informed of inpatient and outpatient progress.
  • Prescribe, administer and dispense medication in accordance with state and federal statutes.
  • Ensure that patient care and is optimal and is in adherence to the clinical guidelines and quality standards.
  • Document all patient evaluations, treatments, medications and transactions according to company policies and procedure.
  • Performing inpatient and outpatient review with initial assessment and management.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of current care methods and procedures and suggest improvements
  • Minor medical, surgical and procedure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine with 5+ years’ clinical experience.
  • Level of Education –MBBS, Master’s degree in health sciences,
  • Certificate of Annual Practicing Licence
  • Certificate of Full Registration as a medical practitioner
