Media Officer

  • As part of our effort to amplify the voice of women and girls and advocate for their inclusion, We are recruiting to fill the position of media Officer. Interested candidates should possess a good working knowledge of media publication, graphics design and video editing skills
  • Candidates with experience in the use of modern graphics & video editing software such as Corel Draw, Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Premiere, After Effects, and internet-based applications such as Canva, etc will be highly prioritized.

Responsibilities

  • The successful candidates will assist in designing and editing our IEC materials, such as short video, banners, and flyers,for online and offline advocacy campaigns, community sensitization, stakeholder engagement, project implementation, and launching regular social media campaigns
  • Assist in designing and editing posters, flyers, leaflets, brochures, booklets messages to raise awareness to end GBV, promote women and girls health, economic and financial inclusion, and political participation
  • Work with our Communication team to implement our communication strategies
  • Work with the Moment for Women Magazine team to design, create contents for monthly publication of the Magazine

Educational Qualification and Experience

  • OND / HND / B.Sc in any related fields with 1 year of experience.

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate must reside within the Sango Ota Ogun State or Lagos environs and must have experience in ICT with strong use of at least one graphic design software; Corel Draw, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop or video editing software, etc as well as internet-based applications such as Canva, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Google.

Method of Application

Key Responsibilities

  • The qualified candidate will work with the Finance Officers and Program Manager to facilitate and provide support during audits, at the project and fund level, as requested, including assistance with vendor contracting, supporting the planning process, and assisting in the follow-up of critical audit findings;
  • Assist and Liaise with partners, staff, and other third parties in verifying expenditure supporting documents during spot-checks, review of financial reports, capacity assessments, audits, and reconciliation
  • Assist with the submission and return of partners’ financial documentation and provide support in the project monitoring and evaluation processes of our organization.
  • Support in the allocation and financial management processes of our organization
  • Receive and review audit reports from contractors and ensure project records are updated as necessary.
  • Facilitate knowledge-building and knowledge-sharing on financial monitoring and reporting according to donors’ demands.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess an OND, HND, / B.Sc. Degree in Accounting / Finance field is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a finance/accounting officer or project officer with an NGO.
  • Good knowledge of internal control systems and experience with accounting software is an asset.
  • Experience supervising an audit process and project reporting/reconciliation is an advantage.
  • Experience in delivering financial training and workshops is an advantage.
  • Must be Honest, a team player, and maintain a high-level professional standard
  • The ideal candidate must reside within the Sango, Ota, Ogun, and Lagos environs or be willing to relocate.
  • Interested candidates should possess a good working knowledge of non-profit accounting, budget preparation, financial reporting, and record-keeping with excellent written and oral communication skills, proficiency in ICT, and working knowledge of accounting software, including emails, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Candidates with experience working in the non-profit accounting sector and professional qualifications will be highly prioritized
