Junior Human Resources Manager

JOB DUTIES:

  • Assist in the recruitment and selection process, including advertising vacancies, conducting interviews, and making job offers
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and induction programs
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and databases
  • Provide support in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits and compensation programs
  • Support the performance management process, including conducting performance reviews and providing feedback
  • Foster positive employee relations and promote a culture of inclusivity and diversity
  • Collaborate with management to identify and address HR-related issues and concerns
  • Assist in the development and delivery of HR training programs
  • Maintain compliance with labor laws and regulations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR role
  • Professional certification in HR (e.g. CIPM, SHRM-CP) is an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations in Nigeria
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR software applications

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with department heads to understand their procurement requirements and develop procurement plans and strategies.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers/vendors based on factors such as price, quality, and delivery time.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable contracts, including pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Generate purchase orders, review purchase requisitions for accuracy, and ensure timely processing of orders.
  • Monitor contract performance, resolve disputes, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate with inventory management teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Ensure that purchased goods and services meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings through process improvements, supplier consolidation, or negotiation tactics.
  • Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, such as supply chain disruptions, price fluctuations, and supplier reliability issues.
