Job Summary
As the Head of Product Management, you will play a pivotal role in defining and executing our product strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and goals. You will lead a team of product managers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and impactful financial products and solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fintech, deep domain expertise in financial services, and a proven track record of successfully launching and scaling products in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Product Vision & Strategy
- Gain a deep understanding of ARCA’s product requirements and from that create the long-term vision and strategy for the Company’s products
- Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
- Develop product pricing and positioning strategies
- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
- Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps, and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience, and drive growth.
Market Analysis
- Determine ARCA’s customers’ needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information.
- Assesses market competition by comparing the company’s product to competitors’ products.
- Provides source data for product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives.
- Obtains ARCA product market share by working with the sales director to develop product sales strategies.
- Assesses product market data by calling on customers with field salespeople and evaluating sales call results.
Product Management
- Manage product development from concept, to design, sample production, testing, launch, promotion, support, and finally product end-of-life
- Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
- Work closely with the technology team to deliver on roadmap deadlines and drive product launches
- Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding
- Responsible for project issues management, escalation management and change management
- Follows up on internal and external dependencies required for project delivery to ensure timely delivery of projects
Reporting
- Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses, answering questions and requests.
- Manage Project Close- out by preparing a Project Acceptance Certificate (PAC) for customers to sign off accepting the project had been completed
Strategy
- Be responsible for bringing together crucial pieces of information such as strategic priorities, competitor performance, operational performance, innovations, markets, etc. from various internal and external sources to develop strategic options
- Be responsible for spearheading the strategic vision across all fronts of the business
- Manage the development of corporate plans by playing a lead role in all the planning activities performed by the Group establishing and reviewing key strategic priorities and translating them into actionable and tangible plans
- Alongside the senior strategy management, support the strategic planning process to ensure that this process is timely, focused, and value-adding.
- Ensure that the strategy planning process highlights existing business issues, making certain that these issues are thoughtfully addressed by the laid-out plans
- Draft and develop the strategic planning framework to implement across the Group and embed strategic planning practice across the Group
- Manage the strategic planning process across the Group to ensure key milestones are achieved
- Fulfil a business advisory/value enhancement role in supporting management across the Group in the development of our strategy
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Deep domain expertise in financial services, including knowledge of banking, payments, lending, and/or wealth management.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a strong business acumen and customer-centric mindset.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Experience working in agile development methodologies and familiarity with product management tools and techniques.
- Passion for fintech innovation and driving positive change in the financial services industry.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in product management roles within the fintech industry, with a proven track record of successfully launching and scaling innovative products.
