We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Java Backend Developer

Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Summary

• The Backend Developer will be responsible for developing high-quality software solutions that are secured, scalable and efficient. 
• This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design system architecture, and implement new features. 
• The developer will be expected to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Additionally, understand test driven development, cover edge cases adequate, etc.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality software solutions using Java programming language and Springboot.
• Understand Spring batch and Spring cloud.
• Event driven development using RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Kafka, etc
• Design and implement scalable and efficient back-end and front-end systems.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements, pseudo coding, and develop new features.
• Troubleshooting and resolving software defects and performance issues.
• Ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Test driven development
• Experience building a financial system will be a plus
• Knowledge of .net Core and Lavarel would be a big plus

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications or equivalent experience is also acceptable.
• Must have 1-2 years of experience in backend development, particularly in building scalable, high-performance applications.
• Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Java and Laravel
• Knowledge of relational databases and/or NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with popular backend frameworks (e.g., Springboot, Laravel).
• Understanding of common security vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP) and experience implementing secure coding practices.

Salary and Benefits

• NGN200,000 – NGN400,000 / Month.
