Human Resource Officer
Job Summary:
- We are seeking a skilled and proactive HR Officer to join our Client’s team in Lagos, Nigeria.
- The HR Officer will support various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration.
- The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of HR experience and should have started the certification process with the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM).
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation sessions and necessary paperwork.
- Ensure compliance with all recruitment and onboarding procedures and policies.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and provide support on HR-related matters.
- Assist in resolving employee issues and conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality of HR information.
Performance Management:
- Support the performance appraisal process by tracking performance reviews and providing administrative assistance as needed.
- Assist in identifying training and development needs and coordinating relevant training programs.
- Monitor employee performance and provide feedback to management as appropriate.
HR Administration:
- Manage HR documentation, including contracts, agreements, and employee files.
- Prepare HR reports and analytics for management review.
- Handle day-to-day HR administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and managing correspondence.
Compliance and Policy Adherence:
- Stay updated on labor laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure adherence to HR policies and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of HR experience in a similar role.
- Started certification process with the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
