HSE Assistant
JOB SUMMARY
The HSE Assistant will be responsible for ensuring safe and healthy workplace in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Conduct activities that promote safety
- Attend HSE meetings and report such meeting to the HSE Officer .
- Very that first-aid and emergency procedures are in place.
- Conduct safety inspection and pre-departure assessment for trucks; make incident records and reports to HSE Officer & Transport Dept
- Assist in the coordination of orientations and HSE training.
- Report all hazards to the HSE Officer
- Review and monitor emergency procedures.
- Conduct unscheduled and scheduled inspections of word area.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and disposal of hazardous substances, ensuring strict adherence to safety guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Encourage hazard identification and reporting by all employees.
- Maintain and update HSE Notice boards.
- Investigate accidents and advise preventive measures.
- Participate in any investigation relating to HSE issues.
- Distribute materials on HSE education, promotion and awareness.
JOB EXPERIENCE
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s/HND degree in occupational health and safety or a related field.
Professional Requirements
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., CSP, HSE 1,2&3) is highly desirable.
Experience Requirements
- Proven minimum of 1-3 year
