Heavy Duty Mechanic
JOB SUMMARY:
The heavy duty mechanic will be responsible for inspecting engines and work equipment’s, carrying out services, conducting repairs, and providing routine maintenance to the construction fleet.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform mechanical repairs and overhaul company mechanize equipment according to instructions.
- Assist in preparing for load-out, inspect, clean and refurbish equipment for future use, as well as ensuring that a safe and efficient environment is maintained.
- Assist in scheduling workshop activities to maximize efficiency.
- Prioritize and schedule repairs and maintenance of specialized equipment
- Maintain good standard of housekeeping practices in workshop and yard
- Provide assistance to the Technical Support Team in regards to implementation and operational support.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Trade Qualification (Mechanic) is essential
- Experience in the repair and maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems including troubleshooting and the use of power tools is necessary.
- Experience in the oil and gas sector should be an added advantage
- Proven experience in Maintenance Program
- Ability to work within process, procedures, and checklists
- Knowledge in electrical system
