Head of Operations
Position Overview :
- The Head of Operations will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, fostering a culture of collaboration and efficiency, and ensuring the seamless execution of projects.
- Reporting directly to the MD, this position requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills, a passion for innovation, and a deep understanding of the architectural and construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Lead and oversee all operational aspects of the firm, including resource allocation, workflow management, and process improvement initiatives.
- Team Management: Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to department heads and project managers where needed to optimize team performance and enhance project delivery.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the MD to develop and implement strategic plans, goals, and objectives to drive business growth and profitability.
- Financial Management: Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to ensure optimal resource allocation and cost-effective project execution.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners to ensure client satisfaction and drive business development opportunities.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays, cost overruns, and other operational challenges.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures and standards to uphold the firm’s reputation for delivering high-quality designs and services.
- Compliance and Regulation: Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, codes, and standards to uphold legal and ethical standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, business administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 10 years of experience in operations with experience in a leadership role within the architectural or construction industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
- Understanding of architectural design principles, urban planning concepts, and project management methodologies is an added advantage.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations, codes, and standards.
