Head of Human Resources
Role Description
- This is a full-time role for a Head of Human Resources. As the Head of Human Resources, you will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions and operations within Medplus Pharmacy Limited.
- Your day-to-day tasks will involve managing HR policies, employee relations, and ensuring compliance with labor and employment laws.
- This role is primarily located in Lagos, but flexibility for remote work is available.
Strategic HR Leadership
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization’s overall business goals.
- Advise Senior management on HR related matters and contribute to Strategic decision making
Talent Acquisition and Retention
- Oversee the recruitment and selection process to identify, attract and retain top talent.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and develop effective job descriptions.
- Develop and implement effective onboarding programs for new employees.
Employee Relations and Engagement
- Manage employee relations, addressing concerns, disputes and performance issues.
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that promotes employee’s engagement and satisfaction.
- Assist in developing and implementing employee engagement initiatives.
- Serve as a liaison between employees and management to address concerns and resolve issues
HR Information Systems (HRIS):
- Implement and manage HRIS to streamline HR processes and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Generate HR metrics and reports to supports data driven decision-making.
Performance Management and Training
Compensation and Benefits – Oversee payroll management and ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and tax obligations
HR Policy Development, DEI and Employee Wellbeing
Qualifications
- Human Resources (HR) management and HR policies expertise
- Deep understanding of labor and employment laws
- Strong knowledge of employee relations and conflict resolution
- Experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, and onboarding
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
