About the Role:
The Head of Human Resources & Administration will be pivotal in leading the Human Resources Department and overseeing key administrative functions. You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive HR strategies, fostering a positive and productive work environment, and ensuring our company operates efficiently and compliantly.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Human Resource Management:
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labour laws and best practices.
- Oversee all employee lifecycle aspects, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, compensation & benefits, and employee relations.
- Conduct performance appraisals and recommend promotions and terminations.
- Manage employee records and ensure data accuracy.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment for all employees.
Administration and Operations:
- Provide administrative planning and support to ensure the smooth running of the company.
- Oversee office operations, including procurement, logistics, facilities management, and travel arrangements.
- Implement systems and processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure company compliance with relevant regulations.
Turnaround & Growth Initiatives:
- Develop and implement a training program for all employees to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Work collaboratively with department heads to optimise manpower allocation and drive project delivery.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures to improve the company’s financial performance.
- Develop strategies to improve employee morale, engagement, and retention.
Qualifications and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or related courses from a reputable higher institution.
- Master’s degree from a recognised higher institution in Human Resources or a related field.
- Relevant further degrees or professional qualifications such as HRPL, PHRI, SPHRI and GPHR. are advantageous.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior HR leadership role.
- Proven track record of success in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
- Strong understanding of Nigerian labour laws and employment regulations.
- Ability to align human resources strategies to the organisation’s goals.
- Ability to strategically position the oragnisation to attract and retain valuable talents.
- Strong understanding of the Real Estate industry and business.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Proficient in HR software and administrative tools (e.g., ERP systems).
- A discreet and diplomatic demeanour.
