Head of Human Resources & Administration

  • We are searching for an innovative and pragmatic Head of Human Resources &Administration to lead our HR & Admin team. In this role, you will walk along side executive and Human resources& Administration Manager to analyze and improve existing HR policies and procedures, ensure strategies align with objectives and secure and retain excellent talent.

Responsibilities

  • The ideal Candidate will (but not limited to):
  • Leads the management of human capital.
  • Establish processes for developing people and evaluating performance.
  • Diagnoses of people- related problems impacting company performance.
  • Provide people lens on business decision.
  • Make recommendations actions on People matters that create organisational value.
  • Identify resources to deliver on strategies.
  • Ensure Talent management; Build and assign talents.
  • Develop workforce strategies for satisfaction, engagement, benefits and compensation, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Assesses people data, trends, and patterns to better predict and manage organizational outcomes.
  • Review the current compliance level of the firm; update processes and practices based on new and changing laws as well as industry best practices.
  • Create succession plans for the executive management team.
  • Develop procedures and strategies to achieve business operation objectives.
  • Handles grievances, complaints, and disciplinary issues.
  • Implements cost-effective and competitive recruiting and retention strategies.
  • Planning and coordinating administrative procedures and systems and devising ways to streamline processes.
  • Ensure the smooth and adequate flow of information within the company to facilitate other business operations.
  • Manage schedules and deadlines.
  • Monitor inventory of office supplies and the purchasing of new material with attention to budgetary constraints
  • Monitor costs and expenses to assist in budget preparation.
  • Oversee facilities services, maintenance activities and tradespersons (e.g electricians)
  • Organize and supervise other office activities (recycling, renovations, event planning etc.)
  • Apply employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Manage company culture.
  • Oversees talent acquisition, training, benefits, and career and leadership development.
  • Support the firms’ mission and strategic vision via HR/Admin efforts

Qualifications

  • Work experience as a Head HR&Admin, Lead HR&Admin, or similar role.
  • BSc/MSc in Human Resources Management, or relevant field
  • A qualified chartered Personnel Manager with 12-15 years of experience in similar role within the Manufacturing/ Exports Industry.
  • Should have experience in Performance Management, and People management. 
  • Should possess strong Analytical skills, Strategic thinking & Leadership abilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively will be an enhancer for this role especially as a lead.

Required Competence:

  • Professional Certification/Membership (CIPM/SHRM/PHRi)
  • Ability to manage large workforce /operational team.
  • Experience in strategic planning.
  • In-depth knowledge of all HR functions.
  • Hands-on experience with HR software (HRIS, ATS)
  • Good understanding of Labor legislation.
  • Excellent leadership abilities.
  • Communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Multi-tasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.

Key Deliverables as a Head of HR & Administration

  • Change Management: Review need for change, implementing changes, and helping people adapt to these changes.
  • Compensation Management: You oversee designing and implementing the total compensation package for employees.
  • Organizational and performance management: Design a strategic approach to creating and sustaining improved performance in employees, leading to an increase in the effectiveness of the firm. 
  • Talent management: Plan for succession by identifying future leaders and ensuring they have the necessary skills and experience in key business functions.
  • Succession planning: Identify and develop new, potential leaders who can move into leadership roles when they become vacant.
  • Training and development.
  • Drive of special projects to growth in terms of Human Capital Development.
