Job Summary:

• Seasoned Head of Finance with a proven track record in strategic financial planning, leadership, and overseeing comprehensive financial operations.
• You will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the organization, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management.
• You will drive the financial planning and analysis and contribute to the overall financial health and sustainability of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning. Provide insightful analysis of financial performance against key business metrics.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Budget Management: Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to establish financial targets. Monitor and report on budget variances, providing recommendations for corrective action.
• Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow to optimize liquidity and support operational needs. Implement effective treasury management practices.
• Strategic Financial Guidance: Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights for decision-making. Evaluate potential investments, acquisitions, and other strategic financial initiatives.
• Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate potential negative impacts. Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; ICAN/ACCA preferred, with at least 5 years of membership.
• Proven experience in a senior finance role, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and reporting standards.
• Demonstrated experience in financial planning, budgeting, and analysis.
• Proven ability in strategic financial planning and execution, demonstrating a clear understanding of business objectives.
• Experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in financial software and Microsoft applications.
• Experience in entertainment, banking, oil and gas, and telecommunication could be an advantage.
