About the job
- The Group Quality, Health, Safety, & Environment Manager is responsible for setting up and ensuring implementation of Group QHSE Strategy that is aligned with overall company and Project objectives.
- He/She will set up and manage all quality control and quality assurance activities within the organization, including resourcing, review and approval of manuals, engagement with stakeholders etc.
Responsibilities
Leadership
- Contribute to the management of Company by proactively supporting business growth.
- Support the implementation of the Group’s policy in relation to equality opportunity, Diversity & Inclusion, etc.
- Coach and mentor the QHSE team to ensure professionalism and the company’s core values are maintained.
Core/Technical
- Own and manage the QHSE Risk Register and work with other departments to ensure QHSE risks are mitigated.
- Implementation and maintenance of Quality Management System (QMS) and other ISO Management Systems.
- Own QHSE Crisis management function and ensure regular simulations are carried out to demonstrate resilience.
- Regularly review and update Base, Site and Project QHSE plans. Ensure proper threat and risk monitoring is in place.
- Work with key contractor/3rd party companies to ensure compliance to company high standards.
- Liaise with Project Managers at regular intervals to ensure corporate QHSE goals aligns with the project.
- Own the QHSE budget and continually look for cost – effective solutions without compromising Quality, Health, Safety and Environment standards.
- High focus on QHSE within road transport including reduction in RTA, equipment / fuel movement, vehicle misuse and contractor compliance (environmental safety)
- Auditing of subcontractors and vendors (pre and post engagement).
- Management of internal audit programmes.
- Identify quality requirements for any activities (welding, testing, etc.) during the execution, and provide guidance and/or procedures to personnel to implement them.
- Ensure that the workplace is monitored and is fully in compliance with all applicable OSHA standards, rules, and regulations in order to maintain safety in all facilities.
- Ensure that both Quality and Safety Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are respectively maintained and communicated to employees.
- Ensure the results of safety inspections are documented monitoring the investigation of accidents and injuries; ensuring that corrective actions are taken with recommendations on ways to prevent similar occurrence.
- Ensure that all accident reports are recorded in a timely, complete, and accurate manner.
- Keep up to date with changes in current legislation and to bring to the attention of the Management, any relevant new legislation.
- Recommend control measures and advise on the standard of P.P.E. issued to employees.
- Coordinate health and safety inspections and prepare reports of all the company’s operations.
Quality, Health, Safety & Environment
- Drive compliance with Occupational Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies, processes, procedures, and applicable laws/legal requirements across Company business.
- Take responsibility for their health & safety and those of stake holders across Company business
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Social Sciences, or other related fields
- Additional qualifications in Quality/ HSE are a distinct advantage.
- 13+ experience in QHSE management
- Track record for developing and implementing Quality Management Systems, Quality Processes, Quality Plans.
- Good practical and theoretical knowledge of ISO standards: ISO 9001; 45001 and 14001 is key.
- Knowledge of the oil & gas and EPCIC industry is desirable
