Job Summary
A Graphic Designer is a professional who uses their artistic abilities to help communicate ideas visually for their company and clients. He/she is responsible for creating engaging visual elements and on-brand graphics for a variety of media that convey messages, express ideas, and capture the attention
Responsibilities
- Conceptualizing visuals based on requirements
- Create and design various materials for digital and print
- Ensure projects are completed in a timely manner with a quality product
- Advise best practices and optimisations throughout design projects.
- Testing graphics across various media
- Study design briefs and determine requirements
- Schedule projects and define budget constraints
- Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
- Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
- Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand
- Amend designs after feedback
- Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
Requirements and skills
- Proven graphic designing experience
- Proficiency in programs such as Adobe Suite, Photoshop, InDesign, QuarkXPress, and Illustrator
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum of two years experience in graphic design
- A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
- Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
- A keen eye for aesthetics and details
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
- A degree in Design, Fine Arts or a related field is a plus
