Role Summary:

• We are seeking a passionate and experienced Grant Writing and Fundraising Officer to join our team. This role involves identifying funding opportunities, writing grant proposals, and developing fundraising strategies that align with Rid Labs’ mission. The successful candidate will play a critical role in securing the financial resources needed to support our AMR and AMUS research projects and initiatives aimed at assisting smallholder animal farmers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough research to identify potential grant opportunities and funding sources related to AMR, AMUS, and agricultural development. 
• Prepare and submit compelling and high-quality grant proposals, ensuring compliance with all guidelines and requirements. 
• Develop and execute innovative fundraising campaigns and strategies to support Rid Labs’ projects and research activities. 
• Establish and cultivate strong relationships with donors, funding agencies, and partners to secure ongoing support. 
• Work collaboratively with project teams to gather necessary information and data for grant applications and reports. 
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all fundraising activities, proposals, and reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Public Health, Development Studies, or a related field. 
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in grant writing and fundraising, preferably within a research, agricultural, or environmental context. 
• Demonstrated success in securing grants and funding from a variety of sources, including government, private foundations, and international donors. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively. 
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. 
• Knowledgeable about AMR and AMUS issues, particularly in the context of Nigeria or similar environments. 
• A strong commitment to Rid Labs’ mission and values, with a passion for making a difference in public health and agriculture.
