Fuel Clerk
SERVICE DIMENSIONS
- Supervises fuel (AGO) delivery in 4 office locations and 7 residences
- Direct supervision of the 10,000 liters truck driver and driver mate
- In charge of daily optimal utilization of 10,000 liters AGO truck
- Overseas all checks and activities on 24 units of small and large capacity surface/underground tanks in both office locations and residences
ACTIVITIES
- Conducts routine dips of all AGO tanks and monitors delivery and consumptions of fuel (AGO).
- Produce daily, weekly and monthly report on fuel delivery and stored volume status.
- Liaise with relevant departments and entities to manage AGO delivery, stocking and distribution
- Responsible for managing AGO bunkering equipment/ facilities.
- Carryout monthly checks on stock and reconcile volumes
- Liaise with procurement on purchase & delivery of AGO.
- Supervise routine checks on fuel storage facilities.
- Checks for the execution of routine maintenance program on storage & dispensing facilities and keeps records.
- Provides support tank certification and calibrations
- Monitors that safety signs are updated & legible in all storage & dispensing facilities.
- Monitors adherence to procedure for dispensing fuel by vendors.
- Provide weekly & monthly report of AGO consumed and available stock
- Performs daily physical check of storage tanks and AGO bunkering equipment/ facilities
- Monitor consumption and fuel availability trends to aid stocking and storage planning.
- Interface with supply vendors and coordinate delivery tankers to point of reception.
- Responsible for preparing and following up for approval, Permit to Work for all AGO lifting, distribution and reception operations.
- Ensure all signages around AGO storage and management areas are in place and in good condition.
- Carries out routine inspection of AGO storage tanks bund walls to check for signs of loss of containment as well as the discharge of any accumulated run-off water.
- Is the Operating Authority for AGO bunkering activities and responsible for onsite operational safety and efficiency.
- Manages stock levels at all locations to ensure they are at safe level
- Escort Truck to external locations for AGO delivery
- Carries out on the spot AGO quality analysis of before reception and takes tank ullages before discharge
- Responsible for raising Yearly AGO request consumption estimate
- Based on need and consumption analysis, defines schedules for tank refill/ reception and what quantity to be delivered
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
- Job requires liaison with fuel delivery personal from third party contractors hence good interpersonal relationship skill is a requisite.
- A good understanding of our internal client’s needs is also required.
- Job all day, 7 days of the week accessibility to the holder.
HSE CONTENT
- Familiarize self with COMPANY emergency procedures, carry out assigned responsibilities safely and report any incident, unsafe act or problem.
- Ensure all personnel under my supervision are well trained and aware of their HSE responsibilities with continuous monitoring.
- Ensure relevant fire-fighting equipment are in place during fuel onloading or offloading.
- Ensuring availability of AGO in enough quantities at designated storage locations.
- Ensures all maintenance and checks on storage facilities are carried out in accordance with international standards
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Minimum of OND or an equivalent in a Technical or science discipline
- 5 years working experience in similar position in preferably in the Oil & Gas sector.
- Good mathematical, written and oral communication skills
- Computer literacy is an added advantage – proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
