KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Planning and presenting lessons to facilitate students’ understanding and application of mathematical concepts. 
• Preparing and distributing learning material such as notes, assignments, and quizzes. 
• Sourcing the resources and supplies needed for lessons 
• Value and support students to achieve their full potential 
• Effectively manage the behavior of students 
• Engage in curriculum development and planning activities, individually and as a team 
• Oversee assigned out-of-classroom activities during the school day, as needed. 
• Performs other duties as may be assigned by the principal or superintendent. 
• Ensuring that the classroom remains safe and conducive to learning. 
• Grading assignments and quizzes in a timely manner. 
• Invigilating quizzes and final examinations. 
• Documenting and reporting on students’ progress. 

·       Attending meetings with parents and staff. 

REQUIREMENT 

• Bed., BSc. Or HND-related courses. 
• MSc. MBA will be an added advantage 
• At least 3 – 5 years of proven experience in the subject area. 
• A thorough understanding of best practices in teaching. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Organized, flexible disposition. 
• Must possess excellent interpersonal communication and expression skills 
• Outstanding interpersonal skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provided syllabous with learning outcomes based on the goals established by the school
• Teach and mentor and support pupils to ensure understanding and assimilation of subject matter
• Communicated effectively with pupils and colleagues to ensure goals are met, to make revision and reviews
• Responsible for organizing classes and learning resources to create a positive learning environment.
• Maintaining productive working habits and discipline in the classroom.
• Assessing and evaluating students’ educational progress and abilities.  Use relevant data to monitor progress, set targets, and plan subsequent lessons
• Create lesson plans for each class based on the curriculum and the students’ specific needs
• Introduce interactive activities into the classroom and encourage pupils to contribute optimally
• Communicate with other team members as well as with parents about students’ progress and behaviour
• Join the rotation of teachers who assist with start-of-day and end-of-day student care procedures

 REQUIREMENT

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within Christian School seeting.
•  Diploma or First Degree
• Outstanding interpersonal communication and ethics.
• Exceptional classroom management abilities with great attention to detail.
