Finance Intern

Job Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting

  • Responsible for Account Payable Management processes:
    • Invoice creation from PO (Purchase Orders), ensuring accurateness and completeness.
    • Updated Financing clients’ records and ensuring timely payment
    • Invoices payment at agreed period with supplier
    • Timely and accurate preparation of bank reconciliations (Monthly)
    • Assist in end of the month processes, financial analysis and modelling
    • Participate in SunFi’s auditing and budgeting
  • Responsible for Fixed Asset Accounting processes;
  • Responsible for Inventory Accounting processes;

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Provide support for Budget Control & Reporting

Treasury Management:

  • Provide support for Cash planning & analysis;
  • Provide support for Working capital financing;

Financial & Accounting Systems/Control:

  • Project Budgeting- At the direction of Business Unit Directors, assist in project budgeting with the Project Analyst to ensure materials, logistics and profit are adequately provided for Proper control; preparation, review and documentation of supporting documents for payments and financial reports for projects, i.e. Invoices, POs and vouchers.
  • Provide support for General Accounting structure, processes and policies.

Qualifications:

  • BSc/HND holder in Accounting or related course (or in progress)
  • ICAN/ACCA/CFA student
  • Ability to speak and write English language
  • Comfortable using computers
  • Functional usage of Microsoft office (emphasis on word, excel & powerpoint)

About the Role

  • User Services Intern works within the User Services unit of SunFi. The objective of the User Services team is to deliver quality services to our users via the SunFi platform as well as offline. User services achieve these objectives through continual engagement and feedback from our users.
  • The User Services Intern is primarily responsible for supporting the various roles within User Services.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Supports the User Services team with documentation, audits, and reliefs
  • Supports the User Services team with routine and ancillary activities

  • BSc. in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
  • At least 1-year relevant experience in technical project management, document management, business process management, etc (preferably in the renewable energy sector)
  • Ability to speak and write English language effectively
  • Good interpersonal skills developed by working in a similar or relevant role
  • Ability to use Microsoft office (emphasis on word, excel & powerpoint)
  • Ability to use Google suites
