SME Relationship Officer (Loan Officer)

Job Description

The role’s primary focus is to maximize revenue for LENDHA by proactively building a portfolio of quality risk assets and liabilities, and actively promoting and marketing our products and services while also ensuring the products are appropriately positioned and priced to be competitive.

  • Assess customer needs, explore all options, and introduce different types of loans
  • Develop referral networks, suggest alternate channels, and cross-sell products and services to accomplish quotas
  • Build long-term, trusting relationships with customers.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction at the highest possible level.
  • Manage the debt collection processes and work with analysts to develop, recommend, and enact payment plans to eliminate client debt in an agreed timeframe aligned with Lendha’s collections policy.
  • Debt Settlements: Accurately maintain client records and manage all past due accounts and determine the appropriate collection action to be taken for each individual client. Collect delinquent accounts by contacting customers via telephone, email, and visiting the place of business. Compile daily, weekly, and monthly reports on the status of delinquent accounts, collection activity, and accounts receivable status. Report progress of collections to Supervisor, make recommendations for next steps and write-offs.
  • Customer Acquisition: Present, promote and sell Lendha’s products using solid negotiations to existing and prospective clients across relevant sectors, including but not limited to companies in the e-commerce, consumer goods, healthcare, and financial services industries.
  • Loan Portfolio Growth. Support the evaluation of loans given to customers by ensuring that credit appraisals are completed properly and uphold monitoring of accounts to identify outstanding debts. Review terms of contract and service with client and clearly communicate various payment options. Work cooperatively with other epartments to best determine how to balance both the customer’s and Lendha’s needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Higher National Diploma in any discipline from an accredited polytechnic or University with NYSC discharge certificate or NYSC Exclusion Letter.
  • Minimum of 2 Years working experience in microfinance bank sector 
  • Good relationship and communication skills with strong team spirit
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Real motivation to work and grow in a performance-based environment
  • Taste for fieldwork

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Practical knowledge of micro / small/medium businesses
  • Good writing skills
  • Knowledge of the major local languages
  • MUST LIVE IN LAGOS
  • Good Knowledge of the territory

Job Description

  • We are looking for a Finance Officer who will be responsible for the day-to-day management of financial transactions and procedures.
  • You will manage the Bank’s Financial accounting, monitoring, and Reporting Systems
  • We expect you to be familiar with audits and budget preparations.
  • You will actively participate in the management of our accounting activities, including bank reconciliations. You should have excellent organizational skills and be able to handle time-sensitive tasks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting plus a minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting and/or financial analysis
  • Professional degree is an added advantage
  • Data Processing skills.
  • Strongly demonstrated the use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
