Responsibilities

• Accomplish production targets through subordinates by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain production work flow by:
  • Monitoring alignment to approved policies and procedures;
  • Determining inputs required to achieve targets;
  • Identifying and monitoring critical control points
  • Identifying, communicating and implementing process improvement
  • Identifying and communicating opportunity cost reductions to Management
  • Developing and reporting on policies, procedures and systems on a needs basis
  • Working cooperatively with other departments to achieve organisational objectives
• Oversee the cost effectiveness and planning of the entire production process.
• Budget, schedule work and coordinate the activities of the various production units.
• Form and manage the production team.
• Organise production meetings.

Requirement

• HND or B.Sc in Food Science & Technology
