Finance Officer
Job Summary:
- We’re seeking a Finance Officer to manage our financial transactions and records. Your role will involve preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- You’ll play a crucial role in maintaining our financial health by providing accurate and timely information to support decision-making by management.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing financial operations for accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting;
- Prepare financial budgets, reports, and analyses to aid management decisions;
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities in line with accounting standards;
- Coordinate with external auditors and implement audit recommendations;
- Support the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets;
- Monitor cash flow, budget variances, and financial performance indicators;
- Liaise with banks, tax authorities, and other stakeholders on financial matters; and
- Provide financial guidance and support to project teams and department heads.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years post-NYSC experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Good knowledge of Nigerian accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations.
- Professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA in progress or completed is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
