Factory Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring production process and ensure compliance with set schedule.
- Participate in production planning and setting of production schedule.
- Regularly inspecting finished products to determine whether they meet established quality standards.
- Ensuring that factory machinery is in good working order.
- Collaborating with quality control officers to establish and execute quality control process.
- Screening and training new factory workers.
- Analyzing production data to identify and resolve any production issues.
- Manage production materials in a cost-effective way, and ensure minimal wastage is recorded.
- Ensure occupational health and safety protocols are adhered to at all times.
- Liaise with maintenance engineers for the maintenance of all machines, and ensure prompt repairs are carried out when required.
- Liaise with the statutory and the regulatory agencies such as NAFDAC, SON, LASEPA, NESREA, MDAs, LCDAs, and Public Health Officers.
- Perform other related duties as may be assigned.
Skill Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 7 years working experience as a Factory Manager/Mechanical Engineer/Electrical Engineer.
- Sound knowledge of industry-specific factory equipment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong management and leadership skills.
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a factory.
