Facility Maintenance Manager
Role Description
- Plan and coordinate all installations (Air conditioners, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments.
- Manage the upkeep of equipment, heavy duty machines, work tools and supplies to meet Company standards and health and safety standards.
- Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
- Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs.
- Supervise all Facilities maintenance staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers, electricians, mechanics, etc.) and external contractors.
- Coordinate to ensure allocation of office space according to needs is met.
- Make sure all company assets are numbered and tagged and all records of company assets kept.
- Keep record and financial and non-financial records.
- Perform analysis and forecasting.
- Give weekly report on all maintenance of facilities.
- All other duties as may be required by Company for a facility maintenance Manager.
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as facilities manager or relevant position
- Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices
- Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Good analytical/critical thinking
- BSc/BA in facility management, engineering, business administration or relevant field
- Relevant professional qualification will be an advantage.
