Facility Maintenance Manager
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, repair and maintain the electrical, plumbing and other related systems of all company facilities.
- Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments.
- Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards.
- Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
- Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs.
- Inspections and minor repairs of equipment;
- Operating machinery such as generator and equipment;
- Supervise all facilities staffs (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.) and external contractors.
- Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.
- Allocate office space according to needs.
- Keep financial and non-financial records on the facility.
- Generate report and perform analysis and forecasting on facility issues.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Managing Director/Executive Management.
Qualification Requirements
Education & Certification:
- BSc/BA in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration or relevant fields and relevant professional qualification will be an added advantage.
Work Experience:
- 5+ years’ cognate experience as a Facility Maintenance Officer/Executive/Manager with at least two years in a Facility Management/real Estate Industry.
Competency, Skills & Key Attributes:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices.
- Knowledge of basic finance principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to trouble shoot and resolve facility snags timely.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Good analytical/critical thinking.
